$25 For Full Hookups Is All You Get...

Well, I thought for $25 a night for full hookups was going to override bad customer service...until the power and water went out on our last morning...I see who the director for Grumpy Old Men modeled their characters off of. No personality on check in. I might have well checked in with a wooden post because they would have had the same personality. Low hanging branches as well...

Me. Grumpy Is Always The Same

He never changes. We have stayed there on four separate occasions only because his is the only game in town. We have friends that live in Mineral and we visit each summer. He puts nothing into the park of the hotel and his attitude is widely known throughout the area. Folks think he is just waiting for Randle the Candle to spend a night in the hotel and watch it go up in flames. He did trim some branches in the park this year but just left large piles of debris piled up next to the sites. One spark or cigarette and the whole place goes up in flames. Somebody will get hurt when that happens. He also has the nerve to charge $2/night for a dog. Believe me a dog can do no damage to this place. Beautiful area though!

Poor Service Before Even Reserving

I must have talked to the same "friendly" man whom the above mentioned. I called to get information in order to make reservations and he was very short with me. I figured, eh, we all have our days... I won't let the deter me. However, when I called back to make the reservation he told me, "you can do it online." I said I wanted to verify that I could use my 50 to 30 converter and he snapped, "nope!" I kindly said, "Well, I wouldn't have known that if I would have reserved online." Needless to say we're not staying there.

Area is pretty, park not well taken care of. The man who checked us in needed a class in customer service. Seems like he didn't like his job and was mad that people really wanted to stay at the rv park.
