Beautiful campground in the fall. It's set up nice for tent or RV camping. Fire rings with grills, bear lockers, firewood for sale ($9.00 a bundle) and clean restrooms. $33.00 a night and 1/2 price with senior pass. Convict lake has an easy 3 mile trail around the lake. It's not open all year though, it closes at the end of October. We had a truck and 24' trailer.

Longtimers
I have been going to Convict lake ever since there were plop & drop wooden one holers. Love this place brought up family every year we could afford it. I especially love the quaking Aspen trees. Now it's like Disneyland. Way to many peeps.

Family Tradition
I have been going annually for the past 41 years. It is a relaxing place to visit, always catch our fishing limits and the staff used to be great. They used to kick the bears out of the camping area, but now they let them roam around. The state doesn't relocate the bears anymore, just wait until they injure or kill someone so they can put them down. The last 5 years the camp hosts have been horrible, very unfriendly. I don't see the retired camp hosts anymore, only ppl that like drifters
