Came in near closing time on a Wed. Very nice and patient Park Aid helped us get two sites. Credit cards accepted. It's a mixed bag, some sites too close and others nice and roomy. Some sites for car or RV camping right on the road with picnic tables & fire rings down below. Some near the creek, some up above in the trees. Level? Hit or miss. Beauty and walkability - A+++ Some bathrooms updated, others not yet. Recommend reservations.

A Gem
This is supposed to be the first pay to camp park in the usa. It has miles of hiking trails through the redwoods a beautiful creek and even a few 1000 year old redwoods. This is a tent and camper only campground. Rigs over 30 feet may be turned away. It is sold out on reserve america every summer weekendHu. We use it as a convenient base for visiting our bay area friends
