Remote!
Beautiful, remote, free Campground that's not well maintained. Three stars is for the great wilderness feel of the campground, not for how poorly it's maintained. That said, there was a landslide across the road several years ago and the Forest Service closed the road and it's been closed ever since, so you can't get in there anyway unless you hike the 3 miles from the locked gate down a very steep road. Not to be political but what the hell is the Forest Service doing with all the Adventure Pass monies it's collecting? Typical bureaucratic BS.
