Camping On The Beach

This spot is good to spend the nights. Is prefer to stay Friday/ Saturday and check out Sunday. For new visitors doors don’t open till 2pm no exception. Which means you have to make reservations online a few days of advance. Me personally I grab my kids and drove to Carlsbad camp grounds and hope there’s a spot that’s not reserved. There’s 300 spots to camp so I knew I’ll get lucky. I really thought I was getting shut down in the entrance but I was wrong. The gentleman was really nice and gave me the choice to pick spots they had available. $50 for front ocean camp spot, pretty nice large area for your privacy. I picked 1# site, next time I’ll get a little more further. My spot was right on the entrance of the camp where you pay but I was good. Nice respectful people with no noise. The only thing that I dislike was check inn time. If you plan to camp for 1 night then you won’t get to see much of the camp or beach. By the time your finished setting up your camp and bbq it’s dark

New Year's Day at this camp site

The campsite was right by the beach which was a plus. It was very close by legal land Under 5 miles away from the campsite. People there were very friendly and courteous. Downfall was you could not turn on you generator until 10 o'clock. We had a dump site there but you still have to pay $10 to dump. Price was reasonable.

Beautiful Location.

Great camping stop. We had a bluff/beach side spot. Amazing vistas for 180 degrees. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. This will be a regular location for us. They have a few full hookup spots but dry camping is fine for us.

Nice, large sites. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy access dump station.

By The Beach

Great place to camp. Deducted stars for no electricity or water, and traffic noise from PCH. Proximity to the beach is great though. Expensive if you want a spot with view to ocean - @$65. Other spots are @$35.

We love camping there with camp there many times the beach is beautiful The parks clean the Rangers are really good nice safe environment for kids I highly recommend this place I've camped there for the last five years in a tent and a trailer The space is large Great surfing great beach great atmosphere
