Great Campground

We had a last minute reservation for the 4th of July weekend and scored a tent site for over $200 (2 nights), but was ok because we wanted to go camping. Site number 00 was very secluded compared to the rest of the sites. We were able to fit our 14x10 tent on the dirt pad and had some room to spare for our outdoor shower setup. There was a water spigot on site. Our 50ft water hose was needed, which connected to our tankless water heater, to provide us with a hot shower. All the other sites seems really close and on top of one another. Overall, Fernwood Resort was a great place, but was just extremely expensive for a tent site. Site number 00 would be our preferred site if we were to come back, only because it was secluded and next to the river. Very relaxing experience here.

great site for back to nature, mountain

we loved this place, next to a creek, with fire pits and awesome trees. no internet or phone, totally out of the grid, but with electricity and water. Lots of tents too. We do not use bathrooms bc we have an RV so I cant say anything about that. I will be back for sure!

We stayed here the weekend before Thanksgiving. Some spots are tight, but the views are beautiful. Great trails for hiking. Loved hearing the river behind our site and has a General Store and restaurant. Would definitely go back again.

Scenic Locale In Redwoods

Scenic location among the coastal redwoods. The sites were pretty level considering there were no pads. A rainstorm had come through the night before so it was muddy. There was a small store and restaurant on site, along with coin-operated showers and flush toilets. The showers were very clean and hit or miss on pressure and regulated temperatures. Water and electric hookups with $20 fee for on-site dump station. Cell service very spotty.
