Get here early for hookups
The 8 sites with hookups fill up fast,
even in the off-season. We arrived about noon on a Friday in October and six were already taken. The host let us check in early (official check-in time is 1:00), and another RV arrived shortly thereafter and took the last one.
All sites (hookup and dry) are back-in on dirt but nice and level, with enough room to make it easy to back our 30-ft. fifth wheel into a site.
No dump, but there is a free one at the Arco station in Bishop about a 15-min. drive north.
Good place for no-frills with hookups. We didn’t use the restrooms or showers. On the corner of US 395 and CA 168 so super-convenient for heading up to the bristlecones (and very helpful not to have to take the trailer on those winding narrow roads!).

Convenient for visiting Bristlecone, which was why we stayed. Token operated showers do not give allotted time. Site was smelly. Shady but dusty. Glad to have hookups because it was hot. Ran A/C and got everything charged up. Host was friendly.

Good no frills place
Good for overnight or 2. Host is nice, helpful. Needed elec for hot weather! BBQ joint was closed but County Kitchen a good substitute.

We loved this campground, very barebones but the bathrooms were clean, and we had a nice shady spot. The guy running the place is mellow. We camped in October so the weather was perfect, make sure to try the BBQ joint in Big Pine.
