Ok Short Stay

Pro: lots of shade, quiet, inexpensive. Con: very hilly, rutted roads, sites are close together, 90% longtermers, sewer backed up/drained slow. About 15” from town.

Really Bad Place

A lot of drug addicts and dealers here. Stayed last fall and was surprise to see how much traffic that flows in and out of this place to curtain trailers. Local campers pointed out the dealers. Lock up ur stuff, it will be stolen.

This campground is very hilly and not well kept. The showers are disgusting and constantly back up on you when showering. Also the people running it are not good people. A stray dog ended up following my dog and I back to the campground. The campground is on a very busy road and the poor dog almost got hit several times. I asked the campground owners to please call animal control and they wouldn't. They chose to run the dog off with a huge stick back into the busy road. This was just a sickening disregard for the dog's life. I ended up researching the local animal control and called. I'm hoping they picked the dog up because I didn't see him after that. I would never stay here again because of how dirty it was but even more so because of what happened. We ended up moving down the road two miles to Horseshoe Bend Campground. So nice and right on the lake.
