Nice campground, but unbelievably rude and unpleasant host couple. I've just spent 9 weeks staying in COE campgrounds all over the country and never, never have I ever experienced any like this. I just spent the last 8 nights at another COE campground. The wife at the check in booth turned nasty the second I said that I wanted a campsite and didn't have a reservation. She was hostile and non-cooperative even though they had multiple vacancies. I found a site by myself, booked it online and then the husband showed up in a golf cart and tore into me because his wife had badmouthed me. I was just floored. Like I said, pretty nice campground, but the worst hosts that I have ever encountered.

Plenty Of Shade
We were very pleased with our site #7 very level, and plenty of shade. Very clean well cared for. Nice and quiet. We paid 1/2 price with our Golden Age card ?. NOTE: Make sure you bring yard guard and fly traps, flys were awful, but once you get them under control you can relax, also beware of chiggers, my husband wore flip flops one evening to cover the grill and he got all bit up, wear sneakers. (All part of the fun camping ?)As far as the beach and playground, It’s a bit of a hike down hill so best to drive the kiddos there. There is a nice gift shop at the marina for small supplies, souvenirs, ice cream or even pizza. Enjoy!

The interactive site map on Recreation.gov does not match the campground map.
We were surprised to find our site 37 to be a parking lot and not in a more wooded area. Our slide was sitting almost on the road, our "living area with table and fire pit" was no where convenient to our door and canopy. If campers had been on the site in front of us, their door would have been beside our table.
The park was clean.

We love this park. Clean, well maintained with great big trees for shade. Marina and swim beach/play ground are very close to the camping spots. Was told one time in Branson by a local Cricket Creek is the quiet, family camp ground.
