We are on a 2-yr cross -country RV trip. Shady Oaks is the 49th campground we’ve visited. Have to say it’s in the top 5! Great owners, beautiful surroundings, super clean laundry/bathrooms, and easy access to the Buffalo National River and all it’s wonders. Highly recommend!

We were pleasantly supprised on the condition of the campground. We always stay in State Parks because of the shade and cleanliness of the amenities. Wow, this place beats a State Park any day. Shade by huge Oak trees, flowers and landscaping make you feel like you are in your own backyard. The playground and game parvilion excelent. We will definitely be back. Like the owner said, they wanted this to be a destination, not just a stop over.

Local
We only live like 8 miles from this place, but sometimes you just wanna camp. We try to come here several times a year just to camp, kick back and relax. Rob and Melissa are always glad to see us, and make things more than accommodating. You won’t find a nicer private campground or owners anywhere in the country and to top it off the price is well below comparable campgrounds.

Great Stopover
Friendly hosts, clean well maintained bathhouse, nicely equipped recreation facility, crowded sites with some firepits close to trailer pad. Overall, very nice wooded campground. Fast internet access. Definitely worthy of a return visit. Make it 4 1/2 stars.

Great campground owners are awesome! Really enjoyed our stay no problem was to small. If you asked for something they took care of it. Lots are shaded and easy to get in and out of. Very quiet! Will definitely camp here again!

Loved It!
We stayed four nights at Shady Oaks during the State Baseball tournament in May 2018. The sites were shaded which is nice on hot days, and our dog Bogey loved the fenced in dog park and trails. The owners, Melissa and Rob were terrific hosts and made us feel so welcome. They have updated much in the camp and added more small cabins. We had 30’ travel trailer with our truck and had plenty of room at our site. The fire ring was perfect on cool nights. We also used the laundry facilities which were very clean and efficient. We would recommend this campground to anyone wanting a spot in a very relaxing and quietly tucked away spot!

Great site if you're trailer camping actually 5 stars. IF YOU'RE TENT CAMPING it gets 3 stars. The tents sites need a A LOT of work there is to much large rock to deal with setting your tent up. Awesome for campers very poor for tents. Super clean showers and restrooms.
Reply from owner/manager: Hi Jerry, We purchased Shady Oaks in late October 2017. We have addressed the tent sites and I think you would find it quite comfortable now. We hope you come back and give us a try. We have added new cabins, new shower house, off leash dog park and updated the pavilion, our guests are loving it. We appreciate your feedback, that's how we get it right for our guests.

Shady Oaks. Peaceful
Our first stay at this camp but it will not be our last. Quiet and of course shady. Very clean and maintained. Good gravel roads and sites that required minor leveling for our 33 ft. fith wheel. Good room between sites for the table, fire ring and our EZ up. The pool is no longer available but plans are in place for mini golf. FHU site was great. We highly recommend this place for an overnight or a month.
