Nice Park
This was a very nice park. The only downside was site 56 is a pull through but it is set up backwards. If you park so utilities are close to your hook ups you are stepping out almost in the road and you have to walk around your unit to get to the camp site. But the back ins all looked very nice. We did not use the bathrooms so we can't comment on them. The people at the front entrance were very nice. We would stay here again just in a different site.

Nice Winter Camping
Need to reserve and pay for spot beforehand online. Website shows available spaces. Had water and electric. One dump station for all. I thought everything in general was clean. Comfortable for winter camping. Could only hear the shooting range from outside the camper.

Bathrooms were dirty. Campground was full, which we expected, so had to stay in overflow. Scenery was pretty as was hike. Staff was not very helpful when it came to finding water to fill the rv. Also was upset when we did not check in by noon the second day. We were in overflow and at a Dr. appointment so didn't make it back in time.

The good
If you live in the metro Phoenix area this is a close spot. Beyond the proximity, this gets high marks because Usery is a multi-use park with an archery range, a mountain trailhead, a nature walk and many other trails ranging from easy to difficult.
The entire park is clean and well kept (including the bathrooms.)
The bad
You are very near the city so you see city lights glowing on the horizon so you do not see as many stars at night. Also, as other reviewers mentioned, you hear the firing range far off in the distance and at night you also hear traffic from a nearby highway. Honestly, I barely noticed the range noises and only minded the highway while sitting around the fire.
Overall, we had a great time and plan to come back.

Firing Line
Very nice park, but the constant sound of gunfire from the firing range makes this park a no go for me. The shooting is constant from early in the morning to past dusk. It's really too bad, because the park and surrounding area are terrific.

Beautiful, Clean, Spacious Spots
This was our first time camping in our RV. They had a BOGO deal, so we paid $30 for one night and got a second night free. There's also an $8 reservation fee. Water & electric hookups, dump station nearby. Good T-Mobile signal. Spots were spaced pretty far apart, fairly private, and really nice. Nice hiking trails nearby. Website shows frequent activities on the calendar for kids. I would go again.

Really nice County campground, clean well spaced sites with BBQ and firepit and a masonry picnic table. Shower and bathrooms are very nice and clean. only downside is it's close enough to a shooting range that the nearly constant sound of gunfhj is mildly distracting. Despite that, a definite do-again for us.
