Necessary Rest Stop

After climbing the mountain out of Benson, this rest area is a good place to cool down your RV. Parking is not level at all, but the scenery makes up for that.

Filthy With a Great View

It makes me sad to see such a beautiful rest area with trash literally everywhere. There are not enough garbage cans. I didn't use the bathrooms, but you couldn't get away from the very strong sewer smell. There is a maintenence person living right across from the rest area, so I don't understand why it's so disgustingly filthy. The natural scenery is beautiful with the huge boulders.

Good Overnight

Decent rest area. Car slots will hold Promaster, Transit and Sprinter vans. Some road noise but not bad as cars are further from road. Restrooms heavily used and a bit untidy. Please leave truck side for truckers as not many spaces available from them at this stop. Good Tmobile and Verizon coverage. Well lit lot so you will need window coverage. Safe overnight.

Great place to stop and stretch. Also nice scenery. Open and clean as of March 2019

Beautiful!!!

Amazing, huge sheets of rock rising out of the ground, along with immense jumbles of rounded boulders. Lots of room to stroll around.
