Great campground, so close to the north rim. Friendly host clean restrooms. Beautiful setting. Cool crisp weather despite the nearby heat wave.

We were able to get an unreserved site on a Saturday in September despite arriving in the late afternoon. $22 regular fee. $11 with senior pass. Vault toilets very clean. CG hosts doing a great job. Lovely setting in open woods. Very convenient to North Rim.

Nice Alpine Setting!

Made reservations in advance to ensure a campsite was available with a 400 mile drive to get there from our residence since this is a popular campground when the Park Service campground at the North Rim is usually full ! Demotte is situated in pines and for trees with several level sites that accommodate trailers/RVs 40ft to 50ft long. Access road and sites are compacted gravel......some dust if vehicles travel too fast. Very clean vault toilets in Loops A and B with potable water faucets at these locations. Hosts are very friendly and helpful! A country store/gas station is immediately across the highway from the campground. Kaibab Lodge is next to the campground offering breakfast lu ch and dinner along with lodging accommodations! Missed the fall aspen colors due to previous winds blowing leaves off but colors were present at the North Rim........stayed 4 nights and will be back!
