Retired And Traveling

Very nice, we stayed five days, and loved it. Well run, helpful staff. Very crowded but still enjoyable. We were there over the labor day week of 2018. Very family orientated. Lots to do in the park and area. Well kept grounds and we plan on coming back soon.

This property recently added more lots. They added more wireless towers. The clubhouse is always clean. If you like to do things outside there are lots of activities planed and I enjoy the pull through sites. The staff are always cheerful and ready to help. Anyone can go to a KOA but you will not find a better deal. Judge for yourself.

Tired

Styx River was once a pretty nice place; today it is getting rough around the edges. They do have four new cabins and plans for expansion and upgrading. It's hard to make a fair review when you are evacuating from a hurricane but I did see workers repairing the facilities.

Pass it up

This place isnt worth a free trip. Sites are tiny and terribly uneven, facilities are old and out-dated. Staff is decent and friendly enough but this place isn't worth the time and effort. Whatever you do, don't get lured in by Ocean Canyon Properties, they're a predatory company that targets seniors and the unsuspecting. We dodged a major bullet. Overall - Thumbs down!

Avoid This Place

The sites are small, crammed on top of each other. Both restrooms had major plumbing problems. The only reason I didn't grade it one star is the staff is very friendly and responsive to requests.

We love have enjoyed this park and plan on going back.
