No Stopping At The Gate

Staying on Site 7. Right across for the kybo. Site was flat. There is a path at the back of the site leading to the comfort station. Electrical post was 20 feet to the right of the site. There are no attendants at the park entrance and no printed permits are handed out. Campground maps are in the newspaper box. Better firewood can be purchased from a house if you head left out of the park about 3 driveways down on the right. $15 for a wheelbarrow full. Sites 22 and 23 are big and open. They back onto private land. There is no dog beach. Cellular signal is 1 bar at the site and 3 bars on the beach boardwalk.

Relaxing

This was off season camping in the fall. The park was still full. Sites are nicely separated; undergrowth between some site is not thick so privacy can be an issue. The park store is spacious. Great playground. The beach has wheelchair carpets to the water. A lot of bush planes use this lake so there is the drone of airplanes taking off. Be careful when choosing a site as large trees can be in the way. Great for hammocks. The comfort station was adequate with laundry machines at the back on the outside under the covered overhang. There is only one dump station so there can be a lineup. Remember to fill your freshwater before going to the site. It is on the same lane as the dump station.

Riverside Campsites

Great swimming and private sites. No electricity on waterfront though.
