Very Nice
The entrance station is not manned. There is a sign saying your reservation is your pass, just go to your site. Plenty of signs to guide you to your site. Great central location for seeing much of Cape Breton Island. No hookups, but there are water spigots. Water tastes very good. Laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers. A little old, but functional. No change machine, so bring loonies. Restrooms clean, but some staining from the hard water. Roomy sites. Some tucked in the shade, some in the open sun. We use solar to keep our batteries charged, so we liked having a site with full sun. Playground for the kiddies. Dump station is a little tight and slopes away from the sewer hole. We used some leveling blocks to tilt our holding tanks toward the hole to get a good emptying of our tanks. No fresh water at the dump. Fill your fresh tank at a spigot in the campground. About an hour from N. Sydney where we caught the ferry to Newfoundland. Cell signal is weak but usable.
