Wonderful Treat

This was such a delightful campground with the best ever owners. The sites on the water were so beautiful and quiet! The laundry was great, very clean and neat. There was also a quaint playpark for kiddos and extremely neat seasonal sites. Very close to town, walking distance and as a bonus a rail trail right behind the campground! Do not miss this!! Canadian $55 per night

We thought this was an excellent little campground. The owners (2nd season) were wonderful, going out of their way to help. Other RVers were very friendly, and the campground is being rejuvenated. Loved that it was close to the small town to walk into for dinner/ groceries. Most sites were level and improvements were in the works for others. WiFi was excellent, both on the weekend and during the week (best we’ve come across in a month in the Maritimes)! Quiet and clean. On a rail trail for walking or biking. On the river for boating, kayaking, or canoeing. Nothing fancy about the facilities, but there is something sincere about this campground that stands out! Our next stop was a big campground in Halifax where it’s back to limited interaction with others. We loved our stay at Bridgetown Family Camping! Five stars for the owners! Would love to come back in a couple of years to see how the campground itself improves.

Very Nice

Nice little family run campground. New owner is putting a lot of work into fixing the CG back up, after the previous owner kind of let it go. Still a ways to go, but they're working on it. We felt it was maybe a little pricey for what you get right now. Spots right on the river are the nicest ... but if you have small pets or very small children it could be concerning. There is a sheer drop of about 10' straight down into the river that needs some care walking by there. Laundry on site is $2 on the honor system. Rest-rooms and showers ($1) on site are dated, but functional, and the owner has plans for fixing them up. This is a nice campground with a little work being put into it has the potential to be a great spot to use as a base for seeing the north side of the island.
