Overnight Alternative

A sparse pine forest offers little privacy between sites at both Old Hedley Road campgrounds. Sites are located on both sides of the road, with the nicest above the Similkameen River, which muffles the highway noise across the river.Both East and West campgrounds offers a less expensive alternative to Stemwinder Provincial Campground, just downriver.

Not Too Bad At All

Sites are clean. There are pads on both sides of the road so would need to be careful crossing over. Half of the pads are on the river side and the other half are on opposite side of the road. There is ATB trail on the North side. I hiked up for about 40 min and didn't get to anything worth noting. The trail just kept going. Site host is super nice. The East and West camp sites are very similar. The walk down to the river is short but steep and loose. Highway is just on the other side of the river so you definitely get a bit of road noise by it's not too bad.
