This park is a sh-T hole! No shade horrible condition. Puncture vine, goatheads not good for you and especially the dogs. Avoid this place at all costs.

Less Than Desirable
There was a couple power outages. Management blamed this on the campers. They said too many people running air conditioners at the same time. They suggest that we turn our air off during the day. The internet connection is of poor quality. The park is definitely not set up to accommodate all the available spaces. The on-site manager has changed her hours to Wednesday’s from 4pm-5pm, only 1 hour a week. How the heck do you get a management position like that? The rate was raised by about $200 per month so they could take advantage of the pipeline construction workers. There is nothing I like better than being taken advantage of just because they can. After this project I will never stay here again.

Beware: Tent Campers
I didn't even think to check to see if they allowed tent campers. TENT CAMPING NOT ALLOWED. Very disappointing. Ended up camping in the side yard of a town merchant who was very kind and more hospitable. Sad!

Not Worth $40
This site is in between railroad tracks and the highway. LOTS of trains all night blowing their whistle at 2 nearby crossings. Very loud. No picnic tables anywhere. Few tress. Not a place I’d use again.

Phoenix Rising
Basic but has large lots with everything you need. Built by Boing in the early Cold War years to support missile silo construction. Fell into disrepair over the years, but new owner has invested heavily in bringing the park back to Life. Not a vacation destination, but a great place to stop for a couple nights to rest. If you have the time and are on the way north from Cheyanne. Punch Chugwater into your GPS and take the back road up 215, a short cut across 88, up 85 and then 313 over to Chugwater . You won’t be disappointed.

New Phone Number
Town does not own park anymore. 307-245-3222 is the new number, privately owned now. Price increases to 40+.

A great spot off the interstate with full hook ups for 20.00! First come first serve basis and fairly level sites... haven't seen a host but directions posted were clear. A great little town with everything a traveler needs. The train didn't bother us and the camp is peaceful but if you are looking for a manicured campground this isn't for you..it is maintained! Would stay here again!!

The park is owned by the town. This is a great park to stay overnight Cost is $20 for full hook-up. It is not the best looking park, but you can't bet the value for one night. The staff was very friendly.
