Late April
Unseasonally warm (70°). No leaves on the shrubs and no insects. Tall ponderosa pines. Lots of space between the sites, but although they are paved they aren't level. Lake was way down and boat ramps came up way short of the water.
Reservation only, but you can do it when you arrive on line ( Internet is abysmally slow). Off season with a senior pass cost us $5.70.

Probably a nice campground in the spring or early summer, but 100*F, dusty, yellow jackets and sulfur smelling drinking water in August make for a not so pleasant experience. Also the sites are pull throughs, but they are so curve
D that big rigs do not fit. Lots of walk ups.

Big spots. Clean bathrooms! My truck was covered in sap from the trees and the bees were pretty aggressive! Restroom lit up good at night!
