Great Campground

Family owned campground with seasonal, full time, and short term stays. Full or partial hookups available; no cable. Wifi near the office. Campground store, propane filling station, golf cart rentals, nearby restaurant and boat rentals. Nice pool and playground, fishing ponds, corn hole courts, cabin rentals, a large pavilion for big gatherings, mostly treed sites that aren't crammed together too tightly, mostly level dirt roads, grassy/sandy sites, clean (but outdated) bathrooms, and an outdoor stage (with plenty of live events). Friendly and helpful owners who are very responsive via email and Facebook Messenger. Good for kids as they often have some kind of activity on the weekend. On the scenic Chickahominy River with good fishing. Negatives: next to the railroad tracks. On concert weekends, it gets pretty loud, so if you don't like late nights or the party atmosphere, find a time to go when there's nothing going on.

Great Family Campground

This is a really great family campground! There is a huge brand new pool that was put in last year. Lots of trees for shade, friendly staff, clean bath houses, stocked fish ponds, plenty of space to ride bikes! Everything you need for a great family weekend.
