Terrible Service
They are not friendly at the front desk, waiting for a maintenance person for hours and no one’s calls you back!!!

The Beach Makes It!
Great campground. Allegedly a KOA but according to security guard mike Sun Resorts just purchased it. The beach access to the bay makes this camp ground what it is. Soft sand plenty of room on a busy weekend and a long sand bar made it fun wading 100-150 yards out from the beach. The pool is a party at night with pumping music. Couldn’t hear it from our camp site but boy was it a good time. During our stay Jack Spot was closed but when it reopens I bet it’ll be cool. Level sites and very clean nice smelling shower house. The activities girl Alexis was great! She made this camp ground stand out!

Overall Good Camoground
We stay in July 2020. We had a patio site. We arrived after 11pm and there was staff to check us in. Site numbers were not very visible at 11pm, but that is mostly our fault arriving after dark. The beach is the best part of this campground. Located on the bay side the water was warm and the waves were gentle. We will return again.

AWESOME!
Had planned one night there. End up staying a week. Staff WONDERFUL, pleasant even as season winds down. Weather was perfect, & had to watch Sunset every night. Food at Jack's INCREDIBLE. I had best crab cake sandwich. Only complaint, I was solo female. Didn't want to eat at Restaurant Saturday night, band playing. So I asked for take out. $3.50 EXTRA CHARGE. Nuts. I didn't want to sit at table alone...& I got charged for that!

This is an update to my first review. It was 95° and there were only 4 tables with umbrellas at the pool. The wifi was spotty at best. On the plus side the Jackspot bar and grill is very nice and the beach was nice but should be raked off in the morning. So I'm changing my rating to 3 stars.

Happy Campers
This is a very nice place. Even after a monsoon rain storm there was very little standing water. The wifi and cable tv both work great and the sites are a fair size. Pool area and rest rooms are well attended too. Only complaints are the annoying resort fee ($3.00 a day) which you don't find about until you get your receipt and the restaurant seems a little pricey. We would stay here again.

Not Worth the Hype
We had to check this place out based on everyones reviews. My family made it a 4 day weekend. The resort was nice, pool was clean, location was easy to get too, but biggest issue was the 'beach'. Apparently the resort didn't care that boats just beached themselves right where my kids were swimming. USCG states must be atleast 100 yards from swimmers and beach. These 'boaters' just anchored their boats to go to the bar and to get hammered. I have young ones and the crowd was getting out of control with dirty, loud, and tons of profanities. I spoke to several young teens who worked there and a manager and the common statement was we'll take care of it, nothing happened. Not to mention they then got on their boats drunk and deove away. We tired to move down the beach but the sand turned rocky and found several pieces of glass in and by the water. I felt the price was a little high but I was paying for the location. Liked the area but will not be returning.

Great Campground
This is a very nice resort with sites ranging in price from $35 to $85 depending on the size of your camper and power needed. There are limited trees but the grass is in good shape. There is a very nice pool and a beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Bayside restaurant was very nice and the food was great. Restrooms were beautiful. Loved this place.

Nice Resort
Nice place. Has a dog friendly beach area. Was worried because we g ave an older camper but that wasn't a problem for this resort. Also 2 dogs only. I told them I had 3. They said as long as well behaved it was fine. Beautiful well kept pool. Clean neat. Has a little restaurant that allows dogs on deck. Will be back. Enjoyed my stay.

Great Location, Wonderful Campground
We stayed two separate weekends during 2017, and really enjoyed it. It’s conveniently located just north of the toll plaza for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Nice, graded sites with picnic tables and fire rings. The pool is situated on the bay next to the beach with an unobstructed view of the sunset over the water. The facilities are maintained very well and are spaced nicely around the park. Historic Cape Charles is a short drive to the North, and Virgina Beach is on the other side of the CBBT. Looking forward to heading back there with out new TT (we were there with our pop-up).
