Peaceful Pretty Campground.
We were only here for a stopover on our way to somewhere else. Staff was very nice and our pull-through site for 1 night was fine. Others complained about the road to get here but we were here in October and found the drive very pretty! It goes through Jefferson National Forest and really, only the last mile is narrow (where we were hoping we didn’t run into a camper coming the other direction!) Our spot (#54) was right by the little creek and listening to the water was so peaceful! Our wifi was almost non-existent though. Next time we are going to try a spot up the hill- with better WiFi!

Great Campground
We were looking for a good campground around the area, but the ones we used to go were all full, we called this place and from the beginning, they were great! It is a beautiful place deep in the woods with a pool a pond and the Appalachian trial starts just a mile from there!! It has everything, plus a really nice store with ice cream, hamburgers, French fries and all you need to hike and camp. We loved the place it is our favorite place from now on.
Tim it’s a great guy he stopped just to ask how was everything and if we needed something. So if you want to support a local place and not the big corporations, this is the place!

I made reservations for Labor Day weekend at this campground on an app. I found out, I was going to have to work that weekend. I called the campground to cancel my reservation and was told by the lady on the phone that because it was a holiday weekend there would be no refund, rather a campground credit. I explained that i understood, but would not be able to come there this year. I asked if the credit would be good for next year as well and she said yes. I asked if I would receive an email stating this and was told yes. I received the email, simply stated reservation had been cancelled. I prepaid $164 for this site. I called SEVERAL times during their posted hours of business, no answer. Finally got someone to answer and I asked for a manager or someone in charge. You would have thought I was asking for the Presidential Launch Codes, could have gotten a bill through Congress easier. I received a call later from Susan (Manager, owner - who knows never told me). I explained

Stayed two nights while traveling south. This is a rather remote facility in gorgeous mountains with lots of streams and creeks, great hiking and fishing. We arrived on a Saturday to find the placed packed with weekenders, and the staff had misplaced our reservation. Luckily, someone had a family emergency and had to leave. We were put in a site that was rough and steep, but one of the few with sewage hookup. Across the road, behind the office, are some bigger, quieter sites, if we ever go back. This is very close to the Blueridge Parkway and all its beauty.

Well Done.
Our family enjoyed the stay at Middle Creek Campground. Friendly people, beautiful setting, lots of natural activities nearby. We especially loved the creeks and waterfalls.

Nice Quiet Campground In The Mountains
My family and I stopped here on our way to SC. We were only going to stay for one night but we enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. There is quite a bit for the kids to do at the campground and there are plenty of hiking trails close by. Bathhouses were older and could use some work but they did the job. Not much for stores nearby so make sure you bring everything you need. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will most likely stop there again on our travels thru the area.
