Awesome
Took a chance to get a site for the night. Website says open late March open. It was open March 17th when I arrived. Great campground. Some full hookup sites. Got one of those sites. Great few.

Great place, Best during our journey
We visited a lot campgrounds during our 5 weeks road trip across the country. This one in Kodachrome state park was the best we've seen. We booked a partial hookup at arch campground, it is in the middle of nowhere, so quiet and beautiful. There was nobody else there. No problems with our 34 feet motorhome plus towing a car to come in and out. The park rangers were extremely friendly and helpful, allowed us to stay a little bit longer because we had issues with our motorhome. Recommend us a great rv mechanic guy named Chris who came to the site and helped us out.
About 1.5 miles in another part of the campground (basin campground) were very clean and new rainforest showers. We never had that before, even on more expensive campgrounds.10 stars if possible, you can't beat that great scenic views and close to bryce canyon for that price!!!

We Really Enjoyed This Park
We stayed in the Arches Campground. It was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Side note:if you are taking Hwy 12 to get here-I was very surprised at the elevation and how windy /curvy this road was. Just FYI.

Secluded State Park
Very Pretty State Park. Decent campground but sites are not level making it difficult to level your RV. We had to try several times until we could get it level even though it's paved. Full hookups and all sites have a fire pit and table. Nice hiking trails but short and not many. However, it is close to Bryce Canyon NP. It's also on the doorstep to Grand Staircase - Escalante. NO CELL SERVICE of any kind nor wifi, you have to drive into Cannonville. Unfortunately Rangers don't appear to patrol the campground as people had dogs off leads and didn't pick up the dog poop. Overall, good State Park to get away from it all but not the best we've been to. We would recommend and we would come back.

Who'd expect showers comparable to a five star hotel? They have them here! I never thought I'd say that campground showers could be too good, but they are. No coins or tokens needed. Great value for a state park campground.

Very Impressed
This is our first time staying at Kodachrome state park, but I doubt it will be our last. Beautiful rugged scenery surrounds you on all three sides. Perfect for photos. Hikes close by, but definitely take water if you're there in the summer months, it gets hot! Newly updated showers with rain showerheads are amazing!!! Laundry facilities, free dump station, private campsites, and a quiet campground. Close to Bryce, and Grand Staircase Esclante. A huge thumbs up!

Great Place And Very Secluded
Sites are great and far enough from your neighbors for privacy. Some spots have electric and water hookups and some spots have none. All have a firepit and bar_b_q grill. Nice clean bathroom/laundry facilities. You are completely cut off from the outside. No cell service, TV, or radio stations. Very quiet and relaxing. Generator hours between 12 noon and 4pm. Lots of hiking and site seeing within the park. The town of Tropic is the closest town for WiFi and provisions. Bryce Canyon National Park is about a 40 minute drive and offers great cell service. I would definitely recommend this park to get away from it all!
