We discovered this little gem of a campground by accident as we were looking for lodging in the Big Thicket. After a few phone calls with the proprietor Marc McConnell, reservations and directions found us nestled among pine trees.

Super
A bit off the beaten track by about 5 miles but if you want a quiet, safe secluded stop. This is it. When we drive in it was dark and an armadillo ran up the road in front of us and the two racoons showed up peering from behind trees as our headlights hit them. Very friendly folk. It's probably not good if you just want a quick overnight, but if you have time to enjoy east Texas, this is the place. Oh, and cheap clean laundry rooms too.

Very private. Owners are so friendly! Wifi is good. And they are even upgrading wifi shortly to better service in their main gathering building. My husband is joining in on the music tonight!
