Nice Stay Near The Beach
We stayed two nights and enjoyed the beach on a sunny January day ? The camping area was nice, clean, and safe but some sites were a little awkward. They have back in sites next to pull in sites so your picnic tables and covered pavilions are together. You need to enjoy your new neighbors or stay inside. The beach water is clean and clear, but lots of trash on the beach. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Open Again After Harvey
Just spent three nights at the state park. Electric and water hooks fully functional, convenient dump station. Entry/exit gate secured at night (code provided). Although I didn’t use, the restrooms and showers appeared to be clean, possible re-built after Harvey. There is quick access to beach either walking or driving. Also, friendly staff.

Kites, Surf And Good Food
This state park is between Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, meaning there is lots of shopping, good food and great beaches. The park staff had computer issues all weekend, but got us moved in and took great care of us all weekend. We were about halfway down the miles long beach, and came back through tons of day visitors, but had plenty of room to fly several large kites.
Coyotes have been seen in/near the park, so watch your pets.
Good water pressure, good 50 amp and paved spaces, although not perfectly level.
