We were told about this place before we left Colorado. It has 20 power huck ups, 30 /50 Amp. A sewer dump and a water fill station with trash dumpsters. The Park was clean and grass was mowed. The train only came by 2 times and was not bad at all. 8 campers were there for the night. 5 G on T Mobile. Great place for overnight stop. All of this was free. There is a donation box. Be a good camper, donate. Thank you very much Dumas for a good night.

Great job Dumas. Perfect stop on the way to Colorado. 50 amp power gave the generator a break. Oh! Did I say it is Free!

Texhoma City Park
Free, parking lot type place to pull in while driving across the Texas panhandle. Electric hookup and water available at some spigot; dump station. Great place for an overnight sleeping stop!

Thank you Dumas!
When all you need is an overnight spot without making a reservation ahead of time this was perfect for us. Electric at each site was a blessing in 103 degree heat. The tent & picnic sites had trees, otherwise no shade. The trains are right there, but with a/c running all night, and after a 9 hour drive day - we slept through. We were grateful. Left a donation. :)

Just a flat level gravel lot with 15-30-50 amp power pedestal. Not sure there is a specific way to park. Not busy. Overnighters in and out. Dump station and water. First I thought the water was off but another camper showed me it takes a while to get water. Nice grassy park if you have kids. Dog park in SE corner. Lots of people coming through for that but no problems. Yes, train noise, but none woke me. A few during the day. Sign says 24 hour limit but we’ll see. I’m waiting out the storms to the north. May stay a few days. I’ll let you know if they chase me out. But FREE FREE FREE. Donation box so I’ll leave some cash, but not $35 a night like the RV park.

Thank You Dumas!
My wife were exhausted from a very long day of driving as we neared Dumas. When I checked the Park Adviser app, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find anything decent. Not only is this park “decent”, it’s FREE(!), thanks to the city.

Texhoma City Park
Stopped over for lunch and a siesta and decided to use the park free hookups so could have AC on this almost 100 F day in Dumas TX. They water the park grass and tree areas and there is even a small dog park. Nice to have a place to walk the dogs and take a break from the driving. Great job Dumas!

We have stayed at this park many, many times in the last 30 + years, with and without kids. Dumas' citizens kindly offer water and electricity for free. We've never had any real issues and we sure appreciate it everytime we go!

Great Overnighter
A great place for a quick overnite, and has electric hookup! For free! Beats Wal-Mart, altho thank you to them as well. Yes, a train goes by frequently, very close, and blows it's horn! But it's free! With electricity! Otherwise very quiet. Will definitely use in future.

Great Find
This was a good find as we were passing through and only needed to stay for 1 night. It was quiet other than the train. Very nice little park for the kids to play in. Police did a drive through to check on things and bathrooms in the morning. There were other campers, but never heard anyone. We left a donation and went on our way the next day.

Great Find!
What a find! Level gravel lot with full electric at all spots. Separate water access and dump. Bathrooms not very clean, but heated and will work if you don’t have any choice! They have a donation box but guess that’s your choice(we did!). Thanks, city of Dumas, for helping those just passin’ through!!

Great Overnight!
Great overnight spot! Level, clean, located between the tracks and a monthly rv park (our directions we a little off but found it just fine), bathrooms heated, clean, open concept/no walls, separate water and dump. Local FM radio station kddd 95.3 is awsome. They limit to 24 hours, at this time of year we were the only ones there. There is a donation box. Thank you city of Dumas.

Thank you Dumas. Free Electricity to run the AC. And Trees, Park for the kids. Yes there were trains but the generosity of the citizens of Dumas matched that. Nice place.

Be Afraid Of This Place
This was the first time we have stayed at a city park for no charge. We were concerned about the amount of non campers who hung around in their cars. No idea what they were up to. One pick up truck after another speeding thru RV sites. Then a woman with a shopping cart full of clothes preceded to spend 2 hours at the only water source doing her laundry in a bucket. Literally put a blanket in a large bucket climbed inside and began stepping on it like she was making wine from grapes. She eventually left with her shopping cart full of wet clothes. Did not see one police officer drive through this place. Train tracks located 50 feet away. Whistle will wake the dead. Would rather pay for a campsite than be worried about what will show up at the city park. Very scary! Of course the husband will stay anywhere for free because he keeps his 357 Ruger loaded and at the ready.

Stayed the night of May 5th, 2017. Thank you Dumas for your generosity. We won't forget! Trains are about the only drawback but a free nite on the road makes up for that. Clean, quiet. Bathrooms older but nice.

Nice Overnight
Stayed a night on our way home from New Mexico. Great playground for the kids! Filled up our water first and plugged in to our site, all for FREE! Never went in the restrooms. Trains came through a few times in the night. Thanks, Dumas!

This park has free electric hookups for RV overnight stays. There is a beautiful park next to the RV parking lot with a covered pavilion and a playground for kids. The restrooms are old but functional...there are only toilets, no showers. For free though!!!

Perfect Overnight Park
Nice clean park, at the base of a railroad bridge. With 50&30 amp electric. Water and sewer dump separate. Best thing about it it's absolutely free... although they do accept donations at a box next to the dump station. Can't comment on the bathroom or showers, as we use ours in our rig.
