Entrance very nice. Rangers friendly. Day use areas well kept. Campgrounds need serious refurbishment. Trees need to be thinned. Trees need to be removed from next to roads, causing asphalt uplift. Sites need to be lengthened and reoriented. —-t doesn’t run uphill. Had to pull rig into road to drain sewer line. Lot of dead limbs up high. We saw a vehicle being towed away from dead limb fall. Park has great potential, but needs a good deal of work.

Fun
It was fun! We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed the trails, the lake was beautiful, trees are huge and the kids loved it! This is one park we will visit again over and over again!

Fabulous
This was our first time at Daingerfield State Park.
One word: Spectacular!
I could not have lived it more, well maybe if it were cooler, but it's July in Texas.
We chose spot 28 with full hookup. It's right across from a park host but they were so friendly. This campsite is away from the others, so very very quiet. No one to the side of you. In the evening the lightbug show was amazing. We walked the trails, road our bikes. They swimming hole was clean, and quiet.
Now, we went during Covid so there was limited people. We had such a wonderful time. Can't wait to go in the fall. They say the colors are amazing.

Clean corps park! Gets busy on the weekend with locals but a wonderful place in every season!
