Stayed here 3 days over fathers day weekend. The campgrounds were large, with spaces for RV's, cabins, tents, pool, splash pad, volleyball, basketball.
The RV spots do have nice mostly level concrete pads to park on, with good BBQ pits and picnic tables. Hit or miss if you get trees or not on your campsite. When going in June, it was pretty dry and dusty due to the lack of rain.
Our biggest complaint would be the park staff. Wife called couple times a week leading up to our trip to get a spot next to our friends. She was told nothing was available all the way up to the night before we left. Lo and behold, our friends had a vacant spot on either side of them the entire time of our stay.
The river was low, but clean and pretty. Kinda a hike to get there, but once there it was nice.
The staff really can make or break a campground and all considered i would give this an average rating of 3.5

It’s a very nice clean place. We stayed here for a family reunion in Campwood. I was a little aggravated that I couldn’t have more than two guest at my RV at a time. We will stay here again as it is so close to Campwood and my family. Just aggravated over the little things

One of the nicest Park's in the Hill Country you will ever find. The Nueses River is crystal clear which runs near the park. Perfect for the young and old. Great for swimming and fishing.
The married couple that runs it and manages it have been there for 20 odd years, they are there to help you with all your needs. Very clean cabins, camp grounds and rv sites.
