Ilike it but...
I happen to like the place and we'll come again but that's just me. On the plus side there is a low priced Water and Electric Area. The electric is 30 amp and it fluctuates you can actually see your appliances and fan speeding up and slowing down and that's where the RVs in the whole lot which is usually large enough for 80. Bathrooms are provided in this and the tenting area. I looked at 1 which was an ancient porta potty permanently in place with a hook on the door for a lock. It was funny because the hook was on the outside no hook on the inside. The only person I saw working here was grudgingly agreeable when asked for the amenities. Things are somewhat shabby and run down to say the least. You must understand that that is the way this area is it is a very poor area and this is what you will get. Again I kind of like the place because if it's a relaxed air and would return.

It Is Good
Spent two nights there. Owners were courteous to lend a ladder so I can repair the RV. Beautiful ocatillo and agave ridden desert. Credit cards accepted, but not Apple Pay.

Not Bad
Stayed here during the government shutdown (no camping in BBNP). Come prepared or buy overpriced Campbell's soup from the campground store. For being in the middle of nowhere it was kinda loud.

Though this park has nothing remarkable to it, it did have a kind of charm. I was the only one in "the Strip", the 30amp, no sewer area. The quiet and desolation was calming to me, it was like I was boondocking with water and 30A. The hostess was nice enough and it was convenient to Big Bend. Good single night price too.

A solid 3 star. Has all the basics. Electric/water only hook up - 30 amp - $22. 60 sites with dump station. ( After hour arrival just pull in and pay in morning at the store ) Also has 50 amp full hook up sites available. Landry, showers: older, but clean Small store carries the basics. ( don’t bring a dog into the store ). Sites are very flat, but no shade. Great place for one or two night stay.

Out Of Site Out Of Mind!
Only a few minutes to Big Bend entrance, but an hour to the first main attractions. Park itself is peaceful and quiet with minimal traffic. Great for night photography.

Spring Break 2017
Stayed here for three nights during spring break. We arrived on a Friday and everything was fine. Bathrooms ok, clean, but run down. Hookups were great and we had wifi. However, by the second night a very large group of college students (over 100) arrived and it went to shit. Super long lines for showers and bathrooms. Van loads of students being shuttled to the grounds for showers, some of which appeared to be coming from an area that didn't belong to Stillwell. Wifi was non-existent by overloading the router once the students learned it was free. Overall I would give the place itself a three due to the facilities being rundown. I am going to give the experience a flat "0" due to the inconsiderate campers/students that descended on the place. Never again!

Near Big Bend
We stayed here because the Campground in the park was full. We were in an open field quarter of a mile and across the street from the showers and restrooms. It did have a store which is good. The staff was not very friendly.

Namaste
Great place for large rvs, plenty of room and lots of hookups. Wifi signal was very strong. Owner was a bit gruff and not so friendly. Has gas available at an astronomical price. Good location to Big Bend, just outside the park.

Stayed here in a TT the week before Christmas for two nights. Overall if you can tolerate the shortcomings I would stay here, only if there were no spots available in the park. Pros: Location was perfectly located outside Big Bend and remote enough to feel like you were in the middle of nowhere, which you are. Large pull-thru sites with plenty of room, firepit, picnic table under shade, and a grill. The price was $46 a night for 4 adults and 4 kids, which was cheaper than the places further away. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Cons: The only word for the bathroom facilities is disgusting. Strongly recommend that you use your own. Everything in the store is more expensive than what you can get at the stores in the park itself.
