This is a small, quiet, and very well maintained park with spacious spots. There was a little play area for kids and a volleyball net. There was a butterfly sanctuary and history museum on the grounds. The park is hilly and very wooded. It’s a little out of the way but worth the drive.

Great Little Gem
We were looking for someplace close to home for a weekend get away spot. Searching TN state parks came across this gem. The camp ground is small with two bathrooms . The are limited on rv/ camper spots so reserve early to make sure you have a spot. The rangers patrol regularly and will bring firewood $ right to your campsite. There is not a camp store so you have to drive into Ripley or Covington. They have 30 & 50 amp hook ups and water. There is a dump station as you leave campground. I'm not sure I would bring in a big rig cause it is tight with some hills and sharp turns. They do have like 3 pull through sites. We love this place and plan to go often.
