Incredible Experience

This is possibly my favorite GSMNP camping area. It is hard to believe it is only 7 miles from the turn off, but being completely isolated from the cares of the modern world offers an unparalleled escape. I wish camping was available year-round here.

Wow!

Well worth the trip in. The Valley is a very special place. The hiking is great, the Valley is filled with wildlife and the camp ground is nice. We go into the valley at least once every year.

A bear to get to but good once you're there. The volunteer rangers were the nicest people. Extremely helpful and informative. Recommend.

Beautiful Campground

We had a lovely time in the campground. Very small and friendly. Only 26 sites. The only drawback is the road in. It's not for the faint of heart of your pulling a travel trailer. Took an hour to go 4 miles on the one lane gravel mountain road. Water several places in campground so if you have a hose long enough you can fill your camper. Perfect deep woods camping
