Another Great COE CG

Ya just can't beat Corps of Engineers campgrounds. All sites right on the lake. Boat launch ramp. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Playground. Roped off swimming beach. Sites are large, spaced far apart, with lots of vegetation between sites for privacy. Each site has fire ring, BBQ grill, food/trash hanging hook to keep smaller critters out. No street lights, so very dark at night...kinda nice; no light pollution for night sky watching over the lake. $28, $14 with sr interagency pass. I would come back.

Simply The Best

Just spent 10 days here and had a great time. There really isn’t a bad site here, every site is on the water. No rowdy crowds here, very peaceful and the staff were great. Thank you.

Favorite COE So Far.

My experience with the COE parks is pretty limited to the upstate SC area but of the few I’ve been to this is by far my favorite. The sites are very spacious and spread out very well to give you plenty of room and privacy. Some more than others but look at the maps and you can figure it out pretty easily. All of the sites are waterfront I believe but some don’t have great access whether it’s steep banks or rip rap retaining walls but some are really nice with beach areas right in your site. I did notice a lot of weeds in the water in places tho. I hate that they are only open May - October.

Tired And Retired

Very quiet and pleasant. The park attendants were helpful and friendly. The Park was about half full during our stay but everyone tended to be well behaved for the most part. There is a boat ramp in the park and several more outside of the park. I would camp here again. Some sites are grouped together so would be nice for family and friends groups.

Absolutely love it here! One of the best COE campgrounds in SC. Campsites are really spread out so that you are not right on top of your neighbors. Playgrounds for the kiddos and a nice little beach area for swimming, or better yet most sites are right on the lake so you can go swimming right out the back of your site! Been coming here for about 3 years now and always a great time. Bigger rigs may need to stick with sites 40 and up. I Promise you wont be disappointed.
