Everything was good! Easy reservations, check in, facilities well kept, pool, lazy River, bar restaurant, fishing dock, boat launch. Super location easy in and out, will stay again.

WATER VIEWS
We've stayed twice on our way between Florida & Virginia, each time choosing a pull thru site closest to the water.
It's a nice RV park...quiet in the Fall/Winter months but I'm certain it's very busy during the late Spring & Summer season!
Many family-friendly amenities to choose from with an added benefit of a very popular restaurant on-site. We had a lovely sunset meal overlooking the lake & the food was wonderful!
It's not a fancy resort...it's an old school, charming family focused rv park. The price is what we all should expect to pay for nightly, weekly or monthly stays with amenities.

Park has a great deal of potential. Road noise can get a little bad at times. The one thing I didn’t like was I was charged a $20 reservation fee and a $4 booking fee. Above my site fees. Prices are a little high for off season. In off season pool and snack shop etc is closed. But as a whole the park is very nice. Long term tenants are in separate part of park. Sites are spacious but need gravel. Most are sandy
It is one of the better places and sure very busy in summer.

Very disappointed in this camp grounds. The cost in no way was relative to the lack of amenities for the park. In comparison to other RV parks site cost, this one was over priced for sand sites and the cable was not even available. Would never go there again.

Nice Park
Nice friendly people, sites good size with trees!
Some things advertised not open when we were there. Wonderful restaurant in the back area off Lake Marion! Some noise from 95. I would stay farther into the park, away from 95, but so convenient too!

Not A Resort. But Very Nice.
Stayed for three nights in site 15. Very big rig friendly, spacious lots. Management very nice and were constantly working on maintaining the park. Some noise from the interstate however it was not an issue. IMO the only thing that keeps this from being a real resort is that the sites are not paved. Husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and will return.

Ok
Just an overnight. They seem a little rule crazy. Site was fine, a pull through. Pretty tight with neighbors.
Best part is the Lake House Restaurant. Walked for drinks and appetizers.

Nice PARK
Really nice office staff. They were also very nice at returning your call after leaving a message. Quick note: look for the red tin roof on the right Palmetto Shores. Make a right into that drive way. We had a nice escort. Please drive slow as there children playing. Don't forget to get a tag for your vehicle, no tag, no fun. Did not experience all the extras but it looked very clean.
Lots of trees. Picnic table and BBQ grill. It appears to be very quiet right now.

Continued
We did some driving around and think #1 & #2 on this “Park” app are combined. Palmetto Shores and Big Water Santee are just ONE Park? It’s very confusing because there is another park #3 which has a “Santee” name but is under NEW KOA management? All three are nice, lol.

Passing Through
We stopped here on our way back to Virginia. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the park was. We had a great location, large, and loved all of the amenities. The restaurant was great with a perfect view of the lake. We will make it a point to stop again when we have more time to enjoy everything this place has to offer.

The Amenities Offered Are Misleading
We’ve been driving a very long time today and are only staying here for the night. I selected this location because of its location and amenities offered... A lot of RVers prob do without cable TV and internet, but we specifically chose this place because they say they offer cable TV; they don’t. The place is nice and the spots are roomy, but we felt a bit mislead

Stayed 5 nights, nice and quiet. Management are very nice and really acomenating, you can call and they will bring you fire wood or ice to your site.Lots to do for kids. We will stay at Palmetto Shores again and recommend it for anyone who wants to go to the low country of SC.

Clean, Spacious and We'll Managed!
Nice wide spaces, very family friendly with lots of kids but very repectful of rules. Great restaurant next door. Remodeled and nice showers/bathrooms, great boat ramp and trailer parking. Will come back for sure!

New name is Palmetto Shores RV resort. This was our first camping trip so i don't really have much to compare to. The pool/lazy river area was great. The putt putt course could use some repairs but it wasn't terrible. I thought it was pretty clean. We did not really use the bath house so i can not comment much on that. I do believe the restaurant is open now and i have heard the food is great. They have a little store/ice cream shop thats good for what you need. The playground for the kids is awesome! Forget the wifi, it's impossible to use. We will visit again as this is not far from home for us. Staff was very very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stay here often. Two pools, kiddie pool, lazy river, long pier over Lake Marion, nearby restaurants.

Now Palmetto Shores
Could be under new management. They are painting the pools and equipment. Looks great. The restaurant is closed for renovation but opening soon. The park is clean and the staff seemed friendly. Guide took us to our site. This park is big! They have a few cabins and the pool is way more than just a pool...more like a lazy river thing. The is a dock and beach. Too early in the season for swimming and park was only 20% occupied. We don't need shower houses so didn't visit them but outside was freshly painted and neat.

Name Change: Palmetto Shores Resort
This campground has so much potential to become great. However at present it is not. Way understaffed for its size. It seems to be a locals campground. Dogs running free overflowing dumpsters, dead fish on the beach and not so clean comfort station.
I think the 2 best things about the place were that the pool was kid friendly and Carley our check in person was great.
