Very Nice, 4.5 Stars

The quality of sites vary. Some a very nice and some are tight and not real level. The owner/staff are GREAT and I would bet this campground will keep improving each year! The location is perfect for visiting this area. Store, laundry, bath, gameroom are all very nice. Phone service worked and they do have a payphone if needed. Hookups were fine, water pressure was not a problem. Come here and expect a nice, safe, comfortable place to camp in the woods and you will love it, we did! There are some sites that would have caused us to rate 5 stars, but there are some that only deserve 4. Enjoy life and make the best of everything, we will definitely camp here again.

My biggest complaint was lack of water pressure we struggled getting showers because there wasn't enough pressure. Great location. Easy to set up the directions to get there were good we were warned not to follow GPS and this was great advice. The Wifi didn't work well, but this seems to be the norm for all the campgrounds we have been to. With reliable water this would have been a better rating.

Nice And Quiet

The campsite itself was great. It was quiet, out of the way, and clean. My wife and I enjoyed the natural setting that included trees between the camp sites. All the tent sites looked to be fairly level even though they were a bit rocky. If you plan on sleeping on the ground you may want to bring an extra pad to put below your sleeping bag. The campground is very close to the canyon. It's about a one mile hike to the canyon. We were told that it's an easy hike on a good path. We didn't try it. We drove to the canyon which is only a few minutes away. My biggest issue was with the directions that they suggested. The way they phrased a couple things confused me a little bit. One example is they said to follow the road to the traffic light in the middle of town. I thought this would be the first light. It's actually the second light. My suggestion to fix this would be to state that it's the second light and to ad street names.

New Management

Stopped here on a last minute trip to NY, hauling 42 ft 5th wheel had no issues. Sites are clean and management is friendly. Would recommend to anyone on their way through or looking for a wooded escape. Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities on site. Site seem tight but just a little more attention and you will be fine.
