Beautiful and Remote
Where else can one see so many water falls and such beauty. The falls trails are rugged and saw several turning back after the 1st falls. Be fit and wear good shoes.
Campgrounds are typical for state parks. Some areas allowed dogs so some barking. Area does have black bears ( I posted picture of dollar bill and what I believe to be bear scat).

Small Loop
Absolutely beautiful. Quiet and well spaced around the outside perimeter of the small loop. Trails were amazing and the waterfall hike was amazing! If you do hike the waterfall loop, take your time, have good hiking shoes and be careful and enjoy! Definitely one of Pennsylvanias top state parks!

Recently visited the campground November 2022. They have a new full hook up electric, water and sewer sites available. Beautiful scenery, fall leaves and colors were late fall subdued but very beautiful. Waterfalls were gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The campsites were very clean and well-maintained.

This place is a gem for those who want beautiful scenery, swimming, and hiking. The lake and the waterfalls are gorgeous. There is an old growth hemlock forest here with 400+ year old trees. The campground is one of the few in PA open year round for winter camping. Campsites have no electricity though so plan ahead. The campground is at high elevation so can be chilly even in summer. However there is a nice visitors center and heated shower/restrooms available. The steep grade south of the campground may be an obstacle for some rigs. If this is an issue, drive in from the north.
