Beautiful RV Resort

We only stayed one evening, but had a beautiful ocean view spot, walked the trail down to the beach with the dogs and had a lovely time.

Ruined By Bad Employee

We have been coming here for over a decade, but this week long stay was ruined for us by an incredibly rude employee. No renter should be treated so badly, and he was definitely in the wrong to begin with. No apology, no discussion. We reacted the way you might expect after initial argument. Left early and will never return. Vote with your dollars and go somewhere else, there are plenty of very nice parks out there but that one is an expensive place and you should be treated better.

This was our first visit to Pacific Shores Motor Home Resort. We fell in love with the place and the people. Bought a lot and will spend our summers here. This resort is restricted to motor homes only. Trailers are not permitted. It has great facilities and great people running it. The Newport area is a great location with cool summer temperature and much to do and see. Space rents in the summer high season run a little over $100 per night. I have paid that much and more for a dusty grave site a KOA. The sites here are are paved, mostly concrete with well maintained grass and foliage.

We first stayed here late July 2017 for 4 nights and immediately was taken aback at how nice all of the staff and lot owners were. Even though we were renting, we were treated like an owner. The location is amazing with great private access to the beach and a variety of facilities to include both indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, and one pickle ball court. We decided to inquire about lots for sale and ended up purchasing a nice view lot. We closed escrow while we were staying in Bend, Oregon and decided to spend another couple nights here on our way back to California in mid September. Rental prices may seem a bit high for Oregon, but compared to California RV parks, it’s a bargain. Lots to do in Newport Oregon and we plan on using this resort as our base to further explore the Pacific Northwest.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at. Checkin was a breeze. They have an area you park in and disconnect your car. Someone comes out with your paperwork and you are on your way. The facilities are top notch. There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, laundry room, nice showers and restrooms. The grounds are well kept. There is a path to the beach and while it seems steep, it isn't as it loops down in a steady grade not a verticle drop. The people here have been very friendly. The RV spots are owned and rented if the owner chooses to. Many have been upgraded by the owners. If you stay 7 days there is a discount, but you do pay a $10 per day HOA fee. Still, the fee did not bother us because this is such a nice place to stay and we really enjoyed it.
