Beat The Crowd
Visited park in mid-May 2017 before primary camping season. Very friendly service and arranged our group together. Nice facilities and wildlife sightings. River provides great background sound. Might be a little tight for big RVs but we were able to park several 30-40' rigs.

Walla Walla...
We were there last April on our way home from Washington state. Nice park, good size spaces fishing right next door on the lake. Lots of deer n turkeys in the park which makes for some nice wildlife sightings. It's a bit off the main roads but nice n quiet. We ventured into Joseph for lunch and sightseeing. Nice small town with some great history. Would love to re visit....

Nice Place
This is a nice well kept park. Friendly staff, Clean showers, shaded in many sites, quiet, nice laundry facilities, easy walk to stores, sky tram, miniature golf, river etc. It's basically in a resort area. They have a club house that looks fairly new and one cabin that sleeps 10 with kitchen and bathroom! It's dog friendly too. The only negative is the park road is winding and a bit narrow making it difficult to back-in to some sites. The longer the rig the harder. It's popular during the summer months so if your planning to come here for a week or so call months in advance. If you want to be nearer to Lake Wallowa then try booking at the state campgrounds. But be fore warned, you might need to book that nine months out!
