Dirt Road, Needs Maintenance
This is beautiful campground nestled in the Uwharrie forest. It is about 4 miles back from 109 of which 1 mile is gravel road. There are no water hookups only elctric. Water can be obtained from one of the spigots around the loop or at the entrance to fill your tank. There are no other services available so bring all your necessities or you have to go to one of the stores along 109. Bathrooms and showers are aged but clean. Unfortunately sites are not maintained well by hosts so expect to clean your site and fire ring. I don't know if it is of lack of equipment or they choose not to do it.

Nice campground with roomy sites.Gravel road is rough to get to campground but I wouldn't let that be a deterrent.Nice bathrooms to get a shower.Lots of hiking and fishing in the area also.

Just Ok
Road in is packed dirt with a few potholes, but campground is paved as are sites. Mix of dry and electric sites. Dump at entrance. Bathouse was dirty but showers hot with good water pressure. Weekends can get rowdy with OHV crowds. Nice trail along lake, boat ramp within walking distance. Area was just ok, not as nice as we had expected for a national forest. Likely much better if you have kayaks or a boat. Would not drive out of the way to stay here again.

Excellent RV Site
Pulled a teardrop trailer here in December of 2019. Nice and cozy. Well off the beaten path. Great sites with decent bathhouse, electrical connections, and the lake isn’t far away.

Deep In The Woods
Great campground in the Uharrie forest. Paved road in the campground. Modern bathhouse. Some sites have a view of the lake. All sites are fairly level. There is a lot of things to do from hiking, boating or orv trails.
