We have stayed there twice. It seemed small with not a lot of hookups but the sites are spread out enough, unless you get stuck next to a Class A or C. The kids were able to catch a couple of fish in the pond which was a great achievement for them both. The ladies in the office were not friendliest during check in but I didn't have to go back for anything once the camper was set.

Quiet and Clean
Stayed here last weekend. Campground is immaculate. Super quiet despite there being a good number of families with kids all out playing. Staff was extremely helpful. Be advised that the hookups can be pretty far forward so a 10’ septic hose won’t be enough for a trailer. Great place, will definitely stay again.

I stayed a week during Outter Banks Bike Week. About 40 minutes from the beach. Good people which were very helpful.

Great Owners
We had reservation for two months. When we arrived our site was really small for our rv. Owners went out of their way to accommodate us to another site. The grounds and facilities are neat and clean showing pride of ownership. Remote area. Verizon phone service is bad but this is not owners fault. Great place.

Peaceful, Privacy?
Pretty much agree with prior reviews. Well kept, clean, quiet. A bit too remote for our activity but some prefer this. Though, if you plan to head up to Virginia and OBX fairly central. Not many campers during our stay, but oddly we came back to find neighbors right next to us when many open spots existed down the row. Shades...down. Would have enjoyed it more with the privacy that off season affords.

Nice little geataway
Awesome little place out of the way. Huge level sites and very clean and well maintained campground. Amenities were great, cable and great WiFi. Within an hour drive to OBX. If there is a downside, campground activities are lacking and pool is very small, BUT don't in anyway let this detract you from staying here. We would DEFINITELY camp here again!

RV Age Discrimination
Don't waste your time with this place if you have an RV any older than 2000. You will not be allowed to stay. Even if it has been remodeled and painted, they will not even entertain the idea.

Unexpected Pleasure
We didn't expect much from this campground. Looking at it from Google, it's a square with a pond in the middle. In reality, it is surrounded by trees and the pond is bigger than you think. The grounds are like a golf course and the parking is all level. The showers are a little lacking, but this campground caters to larger rv sizes that have showers. Wildlife abounds with deer seen on the edge of the campground and bear in nearby (outside the campground) clearings. Visit the Great Dismal Swamp nearby while you are at it. Our real enjoyment we're the hundreds of dragon flies that flew around our campsite. The mosquitos are BAD as soon as the sun sets, so bring your deet or get inside! We really enjoyed our weekend stay and would definitely go back. Oh, the light pollution is almost non-existent, so if you can stand the mosquitos or hit it when the temps are cool, stargazing with and without a telescope is awesome. We saw Jupiter and four moons!

Love This Hideaway
I love this campground. It is very peaceful, has a pool, mini-golf, paddle boats, fishing, playground, and who knows what else. Oh, convenient store. It's also gated so people just can't wonder in off the street (back off any main roads). Bathrooms were clean and there are "swing benches" around the lake. Great place for kids!
