Nice Park Except For The Swarm Of Bugs

Electric/water hu sites are fine. Very little privacy from your neighbors and very little shade, but paved and maintained. Dry sites are forested but many are very small and unlevel. Dump station at entrance. The rest of the park is amazing. Trails by the historic homestead are some of the most beautiful I have seen. Intense stairs to the bottom of a 200ft waterfall (like over 100, so know in advance which way to go/ get a map). I would avoid going around Halloween as the place was infested with stink bugs, likely from the nearby pumpkin fields. Our rig was covered in them and they were everywhere. We had maybe 100 of them get into our RV (slideout probably was covered when we pulled it in since it stunk badly) and now 3 weeks later are still finding them.

Great Park

Stone Mountain State Park is a great place to get away. Spacious flat sites with good shade beside the babbling brook. Hikes around the park are varied and interesting. Sorry we couldn't do the visitors center due to covid.

One Of The Best State Parked I Been Too

This place is amazing in the fall with all the leaves and amazing trails. Camp sites are super clean and a nice size. I wish I could stay here all season. Best part is no cell phone service. Everyone got electronics detox.

Stone Mountain has become our favorite destination. Great trails to hike, beautiful views form the top of Stone Mountain. The campground is well maintained.

Cleanest Campground In The US

Every site is meticulously cleaned including the fire ring which by the way is the best and safest I have seen at any Campground. Staff is the best I have seen in NC not that other people are not nice but the lady at the booth was extremely nice and I wish we would have stayed longer than one night 10/21

Beautiful

No wifi, no cell signal. ... no care. Love the place beautiful hike to Stone Mtn and surrounding areas. Bathrooms small but clean. Rock slide nice and cold. One thought... make sure you got good brakes coming down.

Great Tent Sites

I stayed here for a night in September and these are some of the nicest tent sites for car camping that I have ever seen. Can't wait to get back here for another visit!

Stone Mountain State Park

It was a great park clean wasn't far from the restrooms people are very nice and helpful clear night see a lot of stars on a nice campfire I wish I could've stayed longer than one night hope to have an opportunity to do it again in a nice place to camp on the Blue Ridge Parkway off of it !!

This is a nice state park , we would stay longer then 4 days at a time if they had full hook up but over all very clean and a lot of deer
