J&Js Getaway

What a find ! It's nestled in some Mts near owl creek, Murphy. secluded, quiet, the owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly the place is clean and well kept. I'd stay again without question. Only thing, it didn't stop me, was the twisty climb but hey, its the Mts!

No wifi or phone but a great place to get away from it all with gorgeous mountain views and a nice running creek!

Great Place To Stay

If you are looking for something away from everyone thats nice a quite this is the place for you. Bud was great, he was so helpful and nice. He had some great recommendations for some stuff to do in town. The showers we hot and clean. The spots (we did primitive camping) were nicley spaced with lots a area to be comfortable. That all being said between the 4 of us no one ever had cell phone (AT&T and Verizon) service, which for me was okay, they do have free wifi but you have to go to the pavilion( which was nice to sit at) to get it to work, which again was fine with me. We will definitely be back.

Small Is Good

If you are like me and like small well maintained campgrounds in remote locations, this is the place for you in the Murphy NC area.

peaceful beauty

streams meander through the property. this campground is tucked away in the mountains but the sites are large, level, clean, and just beautiful. the nicest bathhouses that we have ever seen. twenty minutes from Murphy and many outdoor activities. we will visit as often as we can, and it's seven hours from home.

If you want solitude, peace and quiet, and just plain beauty, this is the place to Crawford's campground may give you the solitude and the serenity that you sometimes need. The fall colors are spectacular. The campground hosts are wonderful to work with.
