We have stayed at this campground twice. Both times we have been satisfied and pleased with the accommodations and with the owner, Ms. Phyllis, and her helpers. We enjoyed the fishing pond and sightseeing in and around Edenton, NC. Will be returning from time to time.

Nope!
Nice level graveled lots but nothing to do. Paddle boats for rent $5 day but they were filled with mucky water. There is a boat ramp but they do not rent kayaks or anything which was a disappointment because their website listed, “kayaking” under amenities. Tons of goose poop EVERYWHERE. The owner, Phyllis was very nice. There is a nice fully screened in gazebo with a view of the pond.
Reasonable price but we wouldn’t stay again.
Edit...left a similar review on their FB page and the owner cannot take constructive criticism! Basically called me a liar by saying they had kayaks but nobody asked. That was one of the FIRST questions I asked upon arriving and she said no, but we have paddle boats. Now it’s going from a 3 star to a 1 star. So rude!

We love coming here. Phyllis and Keith go out of their way to make our stay the best. Don't miss out on experiencing the Red Barn and the great bands that perform Friday and Saturday evenings. It is our go to place in the spring and fall.

Husband, kids, and dog were all happy here. Music on Friday nights. Convenient to Merchants Millpond State Park and Dismal Swamp State Park.

Great Place To Relax
Really enjoyed this campground. Quiet, nice sized gravel sites (many on the pond), pull thrus, FHU we th table and fire ring. Owner is a doll. Free catch and release in the pond. They have a par 3 golf course for $5 and paddle boats. WiFi was very good. About 9 miles to Edenton which is a nice place to visit and explore. Don’t have a bad thing to say. Would def stay again when com by this way. Very nice for $35.

Very Quite
But that's probably because of the time of year. We are the only people here. As other reviewers have said the park is flat, not a lot of trees and not a lot of grass. Staff is friendly and helpful. We'd stay here again if in the area.

Friendly helpful people. Open during cold-ice snap. Flat roomy flat sites. Not much trees but nice pond to look at. Looks like people are wintering here Good for a night - not much else open today

Nice Park, In Thé Eastern NC Countryside
This is a nice clean, quiet park. We have stayed here twice overnight. The staff is very nice and personable. The grounds are beautiful, sites are level with full hookups.
