Back Again

We've returned for 11 days this summer... Only 3 years after our last visit... My family has a summer camp on Lake Placid (built in 1890)... My sister and her husband also stay the summer at there place off Bear Cub Road... This campground is basic FHU (50 amp) with no other facilities but the convenience of being in the village, is more than worth it!!! A $40 per night donation to the fire department is an awesome cause...

Nice Place

Great place for a stop or vacation. 1/4 mile to the center of town and all of the Olympic areas. Great and friendly staff and the firehouse has someone there 24hrs a day. Full hook-ups with 50 amp service so make sure you have a dog bone adapter to 30 amp. Lake just behind for fishing and kayaking.

Great Cause, Great Location

Location was very convenient to town. We stopped for Holy Day Mass and even though we weren’t towing a car, we were able to walk through town to St. Agnes in less than 30 min. The Firemen were real nice and though the facilities are minimal, it’s plenty of room to make for camping. If you require a poshy RV Resort, proceed elsewhere and leave the few spots for the real adventurists.

LPVFD Campground

We stated here for 21 days in June 2019. This site is for convenience of being in the Village of Lake Placid. There are no facilities... You get water (55 psi) or higher, electric and sewer hookups. All funds collected go to supporting the fire department after campground cost. The volunteers that oversee the sites are friendly, helpful and available. This is my hometown so being close to family & friends was more important than facilities. All-N-All this was the perfect location for us. Until I added them to this App, they were the best keep secret out there!!!
