Nice Park..
Arrived on a Thursday, check in was a breeze, 5 min and on to our site. Site was clean, dual sewer hookup, your choice. Freshly mowed, fire pit cleaned, came in concerned after reviews but seems pretty simple, follow the rules and it's a nice stay.

Weird Campground!
Rented two cabins for eight people. Staff threatened to throw us out if guests from one cabin were found ‘stepping foot’ in the other cabin. Very strange experience camping. Usually camping is fun and laid back, but not at this place. If you are not in your cabin and quiet at 10 pm, you risk getting thrown out. We had three 40 year adults talking around a campfire and were hassled by the staff several times. This place is akin to a retirement community.
No lifeguard, but they do have a pool monitor to ensure all pool rules are being followed. They mark your name down and what site you’re coming from.
If you have more than four people in your family, you cannot stay in the same cabin, together.
Any firewood you bring in will be confiscated by staff. Even if it’s legally transported.
If you like to spend a lot on firewood, have printed insurance and vaccination records for your pets, don’t use any of the amenities and are in bed at 9pm; this is the place for you!

We only stayed one night. Was very nice. Same rules every other camp ground has. Needs more shade trees in new area. We will go back

Large Campground With Large Sites
This campground has some of the roomiest sites of any KOA I have been too. Staff is friendly and helpful (if you follow the rules you will not have to write a review saying that they were mean because you acted like a jerk). They are laying pavement on roads, some need to be fixed soon. Chataqua lake and Lake Erie are great tourist areas.

Very Nice
Quite large KOA with a mix of seasonal units and RV spaces. The Patio sites are very very nice excellent space between with a well furnished patio. The staff was super providing an escort and local knowledge. A good number of things to keep the little once’s occupied. Yes there are rules but nothing really out of the ordinary.

Great park
Stayed here for three nights. Our friends stayed across the road from us. The park is clean, the rest rooms/ shower houses are very nice and very clean. You can’t bring your own firewood (they check), and there’s a $20 charge for a gate key if you want to re-enter the park after 8pm. They pick your trash up at your site. The staff was friendly, the even have a few buddy sites where you and your neighbor’s awning face each other if you come with another group and want to camp side by side.
Free cable, WiFi is intermittent. Good water pressure.
Close to Bemus Point, Jamestown and Chautauqua are also close. 16 miles to the nearest Walmart.
We will be back; we and our friends really liked this place.

There’s A Rule For Everything
I’m not exaggerating when I say there is a rule for everything. Signs posted everywhere about what you’re NOT allowed to do. And I’m not taking about safety guidelines. The owner of this park is over the top strict. Camping is supposed to be laid back and fun. I was chastised for bringing a bottle of water to the pool. We were asked several times at check in if our pets were vaccinated even when we answered the first question ‘do you have a pet with you?’ As no. The firewood they make you buy here is garbage. Our fires were weak and Smoky. There was one guy Bill that was the friendliest person there. He made it bearable to stay the 2 nights we signed up for. I will not be taking my family back here

Chautauqua KOA
Definitely a nice park. To be fair, this is not really my kind of camping. I prefer more of the woodsy state park type settings. This has more of a trailer park feel, due to the closeness of the sites, and the numerous fixed/permanent sites. That being said, the trailer sites are a nice cement pad with full hookups at our deluxe pull through site. Good if you go with other family/friends and book multiple sites together, early. They have a strict no firewood policy and bang you $7.50 for a small bundle, or 3 for $20. Good place for small kids as the pool is shallow and they can ride their bikes around the park. Overall, not bad, but like I said, we like the more open state parks.

My boyfriend and I were planning to attend the Time Traveler Moody Blues cover band concert on July 3rd in Bemus Point, so we booked a campsite here. We stayed for three nights and we're very pleased with the campground. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Although we had no kids with us, we noticed there were a lot of games, etc for kids to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst experience ever. Couldn't deliver on promised reservations. Owners very friendly and not into Customer satisfaction at all. Contacted KOA and got the old run around. Makes me question the attitude at all KOAs. Will never stay again. Would rate 0 stars if it were an option.

Dissappointed
Only been here one day and already decide i will never come back. I feel like i am being nickled and dime for everything. I feel like i have someone watching over me. Being charged for have more then 2 kids even that it says 6 people per site. Dont understand why i was asked mutiply times if i wanted a different site, even that this is what i book 6 months ago. If u need a gate key better have a 20 dollar bill for the deposit. I just hope i can salvage the 5 nights we are here
