Nice Site

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon. All the electric sites were full. Pulled in to a tent camp site with our bumper pull. Beautiful view of the mountains. Peacful. Sunday most of the sites cleared out so moved to an electric and water camp. The bathrooms were nice and clean. They have a fire pit, grill, electric, water, and picnic table. Rained in the afternoons. Saw deer multiple times thru the campground. Walking distance to the lake. Caught a good amount of trout in the evening. Close to Gila Cliff dwelling. Must see if you camp here. Roads up there are steep and narrow. Great view. Site needs a shower and the dump site was closed. Had to dump in Deming Nm.

We arrived late on a Thursday night and were able to find a good spot with hook ups. Come Friday it did start to fill up. A lot of families group camp together here so as you might guess they can get a little noisy. Other than that, it was clean and enjoyable, we plan to return. If you like more primitive sites, check out the two other camps just south, they are nice as well.

Nice Campground with a choice of electric and water, or dry camping. I chose dry camping because it had a better view of the lake. With quiet. I had good scenery, and the camp host was very helpful

Campground Is Ok On A Monday And Tuesday

First I'm going to say something that my review is a little biased because I was a park host here. But if you go on a Monday or a Tuesday the park is nice and quiet. Avoid this park on the weekends though because it's usually pretty full. Another nice park right down the road is the upper end. The upper end is a nice clean safe Park to stay in.

The camp grounds were super clean even the bathrooms were spotless, the campground host was super helpful and there's lots of sightseeing to do in the area between silver city and the Gila cliff dwellings and so much more

Excellent Campground

We arrived late Friday afternoon and only one space was available. Relatively small campground. Views are spectacular. Very clean including the bathrooms. Only complaint about our site is that fire pit ring was to close to trailer area making it to risky to use. There is a dump area but the hose does not have threads. Overall a beautiful, clean campsite with great views. Closest gas station at Mimbres,NM.
