Beautiful View/Very Remote

We stayed in spot AA at Cedar Bay. It was level and had an amazing view. We also got hailed on twice while there for the weekend. Not sure if this is normal for the area or not. Lots of sand so definelty need levelers. There is one dump station across from the sign marked Main area. They also have fresh water there. The road was pretty erroded after the storms went through but someone came out and leveled them right away. You will not get any kind of internet out there. In fact we couldnt even place a call. Text messages would go through sometimes. You have to drive into Valentine to get a signal.

Dark Skies, Great Scenery

Roads and sites are sand, so bring plenty of levelers. Most sites are electric only, with fill water at bath houses. Only dump is at the lodge/store at the north end. That said, beautiful lake and scenery. The Milky Way shines beautifully on moonless nights. Great restaurant about 15m north at the Prairie Club golf course.

Camping

Love Merritt Reservoir. A great place to get away and enjoy nature.

Great Annual Camping Trip Location

Nice clean showers. Lots of fishing! I have been tent camping at Merritt for over twenty years but this will be my first year at the RV camp. Loads of sand! Nice general store
