There are two campgrounds At Swanson Lake. One on the south is larger, on a dirt road, and can't see the Lake. The one on the north you Can see the Lake from some sites. The sites are rather randomly placed. Nice buffalo grass. South side of this campground is adjacent to train track, so loud. Train went a couple times a night. Staid here mid week in May, no one else there. Probably only return if passing through for a night. Overpriced

Passing Through? Pass On By!
This park doesn't have water at the site. Not worth the money! Way too expensive for just electric at the site. Have to pay a vehicle charge of $8 a day in addition to the $20 site charge. For just electricity? And the 30 amp service wouldn't run the air, refrigerator and water heater at same time. No way. Never again. Not impressed with Nebraska State Parks.

The sites are okay, bathrooms are not so clean with no soap. The showers are pay. Drive over dam for the campground with electric, the others are primitive
