Expensive and a last resort.
Overrated park with very high prices and small sites. There’s lots to do in the area and they do do some activities at the campground but it is in the middle of nowhere. If you need anything you have to drive either into Lanesborough or Preston. While your groceries before you get there. Plan on spending lots of money. Lots better places to stay in the area.

We traveled to the area to veiw the beautiful fall colors for many years staying in hotels. We are on our 2nd year of camping having been to over 30 parks. This is our 3rd time visiting the old barn resort ! They serve up the very best apple crisp ! The showers are sparkling clean ! The bike trails are easy ( we are in our 60's). The veiws of the fall color is magical because of the bluffs within the Lansboro area. All of the boutiques and amish stores are so amazing. You can stop at the mill in Lansboro to get a self guided tour of the amish farms. They have gorgeous hand crafted baskets, leatherwork, baked goods, and their signature hand stitched quilts for sale. This is a dreamy , beautiful, magical, romantic, and history bursting area that is one of Minnesotas great destination places. My pick for camping, is the old barn resort.

Well Maintained
We don’t stay in RV resorts too often but this one is very nice. Very clean with restaurant/bar and golf course on site. Sites are a little crowded but ok. Lots of seasonals. Big rig friendly. Not a lot of 50A hookups. Beautiful scenery. Lanesboro and other towns make very fun side trips.

Nice
Had full hook ups and the restaurant was great. Sites were small and felt cramped. Toilets were new but not always clean. Pool was nice for the kids. If the sites hadn't been so small they'd get the 5th star.

Accommodations
This private resort has it all! Checkout their website for amenities. Campground is built on a hill that is terraced. Most sites are flat & grassy with some shade. Several bathhouses that are clean. No privacy & it is a big campground. The people are great and the awesome location on the Root River Bike Trail are a bonus!

Great Campground!
This is a great campground! Come well prepared though because they do not have a store. But in the near town of Preston there is a hardware store combined with Napa and they will have some RV supplies like toilet paper! Excellent restaurant and staff!! We'll be coming here again!!
