Looking Forward To Returning.
The staff was very friendly. They gave us numbers of available campsites and let us drive around campground to pick a spot. Easy walk to the beach and beach was amazing (no dogs allowed on beach at campgrounds). The park was clean and well maintained. No wait for bathrooms and showers. Unfortunately the dump station was out of order the entire day that we wete leaving. The tent with supplies had basic needs and great coffee which we purchased. Short drive to Roger City and 40 mile Lighthouse. Very centerally located to Cheboygan, Indian River and ALpena. We look forward to going back next year.

Fall Camping
Stayed a couple nights on the way home from a U.P. camping trip. It was an unplanned stay. We have never stayed at this park because when you look online there are no images at the DNR reservation site. They really need to upload some pics. We had to buy wood from a local, there was never a ranger in the building at the entrance to the park. We stayed on site 55 and it gives the feeling of privacy as you back in and have woods on three sides. Bathrooms were clean, nice showers. Peaceful stay. We visited the Ocqueoc Falls while in the area.

Beautiful Lazy Weekend
We stayed September 20-22. The park was very quiet, lots are level, well maintained and the power has recently been upgraded. Bath houses were clean. The park staff was very kind, and super helpful. We spent very little time at the beach, but did walk down to them. The view was spectacular from the tops of the sand dunes, the park its self was amazing the mature trees were more then enough to look at.

Great Park With Beautiful Bike Path
This was a quiet and well maintained park with three different beach access points. The bike path is fantastic and runs to Roger's City to the south and 40 Mile Point Lighthouse to the north. We will definitely stay there again!

Nice
We had a great time at hoeft park. Our lot (117) was huge. We did need an extension cord to reach the electric box. The beach was nice but a fair ways from the campground. We visited 40 mile point lighthouse and Oequoec waterfalls. Would definitely come back.
